Hearts of Oak Statement on Slavko Matic’s Safety : Hearts of Oak have made an official statement about the safety of their head coach Slavko Matic after it emerged that section of the Phobian fans reportedly plan to stop the Serbian from performing his duties.
In their last two league outings , the Phobians have been defeated by Aduana Stars and city rivals Great Olympics in the Mantse derby and section of the fans want Matic sacked.
Hearts of Oak are 6th on the league standings with 28 points in 19 matches played.
The release , signed by the head of communications of the club , rather entreats those fans to direct their grievances to the board of directors through the management.
The statement also confirms Matic is still in charge of the club as Hearts of Oak gets ready to play Asante Kotoko at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday during Week 20 of the betPawa Ghana Premier League.
