CAF Champions League : Al-Hilal will qualify to the knockout stage if they beat Mamelodi Sundowns this afternoon

Al-Hilal Receive Sundowns for CL Showdown : Al-Hilal Omdurman have their destiny in their own hands as they welcome Mamelodi Sundowns at the Al Hilal Stadium on Saturday afternoon for their 2022/23 CAF Champions League Match-Day Five encounter.

The Sudanese side who have two Ghanaian players on the team , Ibrahim Imoro and David Abagna Sandan , can reach the knockout stage of the competition if they can defeat the South African giants.

Sundowns have already advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League with their ten points in four games as leaders of Group B.

Al-Hilal are second on the table with 9 points in five matches whilst Ahly are third with seven points after five matches contested.

This means a win against Sundowns on Saturday will be enough to see Florent Ibenge and his team through at the expense of the ten-time Champions League winners.

However should the team of Imoro and Abagna fail to win this afternoon’s match , it means the Al Ahly – Al Hilal match-day six clash in Cairo will decide which team finishes second in the group to advance.
