Kotoko have now lost more matches under Seydou Zerbo than they did under Prosper Ogum last season

Seydou Zerbo Loses 8th Game of the Season at Kotoko : The Porcupine Warriors have lost more matches under head coach Seydou Zerbo this season than they did under former head trainer Prosper Narteh Ogum in the entire 2021/22 league season.

Asante Kotoko were humbled on home soil on Sunday night by Medeama SC who claimed an emphatic 2-0 victory at the Babayara sports stadium with goals from Jonathan Sowah and Vincent Atingah.

Sowah headed home headed home in the Kotoko area following a goal mouth action in the 15th minute before captain of the side Atingah made it 2-0 for the Yellow and Mauves.

The defeat is the sixth of the season for Kotoko under the Burkinabe coach Zerbo after those against Bechem United , Real Tamale United , Karela United , Dreams FC and Hearts of Oak.

Ogum and Kotoko won the Ghana Premier League title last season with a  record of 19 wins , 10 draws and 5 defeats in 34 league matches contested.

The 6 league defeats of the Kotoko team this season have come after only 22 games played.

In terms of all the overall season , Kotoko have been defeated 8 times when the CAF Champions League loss against RC Kadiogo and the MTN FA Cup defeat at Aduana FC are counted.
