Yaya Toure could become second African player to be inducted onto Premier League Hall of Fame

Yaya Toure Shortlisted for EPL Hall of Fame Vote : Four-time African Footballer of the Year winner Yaya Toure is among fifteen former Premier League players who have been shortlisted to join the competition’s Hall of Fame.

Toure , who won three Premier League titles with Manchester City and played 230 games scoring 59 goals , could become the second African player to join the Hall of Fame after Ivorian striker of Chelsea Didier Drogba who was inducted onto the prestigious list in 2022.

Fans around the world are now invited to place their votes for the three players who will take their place in the Hall of Fame, and can do so until 6pm on Monday 10 April, with the three new inductees announced on Wednesday 3 May , 2023.

So far, there have been 16 previous inductees while Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger this week became the first managers to be honoured.

The 25 players shortlisted are : Tony Adams , Sol Campbell , Michael Carrick , Petr Cech , Andrew Cole , Ashley Cole , Jermain Defoe , Les Ferdinand , Rio Ferdinand , Robbie Fowler , Gary Neville , Michael Owen , John Terry , Yaya Toure and Nemanja Vidic.
