Aduana Spokesman Slams the GFA For Abrankese Decision : The communications director of Aduana Football Club, Mr. Evans Oppong , has slammed the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for selecting the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex as the venue for Aduana’s upcoming home game against Great Olympics.
This follows the decision of the GFA to temporarily impose a home ban against the Ogya Boys from playing their home games at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Stadium (NAB I Stadium) in Dormaa after what happened to Tamale City on Sunday April 2nd.
After their 1-0 defeat to the two-time Ghana champions , City were allegedly attacked en route back home and the GFA thinks it is prudent to close down the NAB I Stadium but Evans Oppong has an issue with the venue choice of the association for the club’s next home game.
“How can you ban Aduana and then send us to Kumasi to play our match. Can you ban Kotoko from playing in Kuamsi and then send them to Dormaa Ahenkro to play?” , Evans Oppong quizzed on Dormaa FM on Tuesday.
The communications director continued :
“Everyone in this country knows the football rivalry between Aduana and Asante Kotoko. You cannot punish Aduana and send us to honor our match at Abrankese in Kumasi. I mean how?
Can you do that to Asante Kotoko? Especially considering the league log this season so far , if you take such decision it clearly sends a signal out there that some one has an interest somewhere.”
