African Clubs Who Won at Least 6 Leagues in a Row : Mamelodi Sundowns annexed the 2022/23 South Africa Premier Soccer League on Tuesday after collecting their 60th point of the season in 24 league matches in the 0-0 draw against Cape Town City as Sundowns actually win the title with six more games to spare.
This season’s title means Masandawana have won the South Africa elite soccer championship for the sixth time in a row which is unprecedented in the history of the country’s top-flight football competition.
However Rhulani Mokwena’s side are not the first African football team to win at least six consecutive national league titles.

1.Al Ahly ( Egypt ) – 9 times in a row between 1949 and 1959.
Winning seasons : 1948–49, 1949–50, 1950–51, 1952–53, 1953–54, 1955–56, 1956–57, 1957–58 and 1958–59.
Note that the 1951–52 season was not played due to participation in the 1952 Summer Olympics.
Also the 1954–55 campaign did not finish due to refusal of Al Ahly to comply with the federation’s penalty of playing one match away from home.

3.Hafia FC (Guinea) – 9 times in a row between 1971 and 1979.

Young soccer fans of today may not realize that once upon a time in Guinea there was a huge football club , Hafia FC , that conquered Africa in the early 1970s. Won the CAF Champions League in 1972, 1975 and 1977 becoming the first ever club to do.
Between 1971 and 1979 they dominated the Guinea championship ; 9 titles on the trot. The 70s really belonged to Hafia.
4.SS Saint-Louisienne (Reunion) – 8 titles in a row between 1963 and 1970.
Winning seasons : 1963 , 1964 , 1965 , 1966 , 1967 , 1968 , 1969 and 1970.
5.Sony de Elá Nguema (Equatorial Guinea) – 8 times in a row between 1984 and 1991.
Winning seasons : 1984 , 1985 , 1986 , 1987 , 1988 , 1989 , 1990 and 1991.
6.Horoya AC (Guinea) – 8 times in a row between 2015 and 2022.
