Gazale Backs Ibrahim Danlad After Despite Poor Form at Chelsea : Asante Kotoko interim head coach Abdulai Gazale has said that one mistake cannot be used to judge goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad who conceded three goals in Kotoko’s 3-0 defeat against Berekum Chelsea on Friday.
The champions of Ghana suffered their biggest defeat of the season in Berekum during the Week 26 encounter as they now come to Kumasi to begin preparations for the Aduana FC league clash on April 23rd.
Kalou Ouattara scored two headed goals against Danlad in the 50th and 63rd minutes. T
he Ghana U-23 first choice keeper then failed to deal with a Shaibu Haruna cross as Ansu Kofi Patrick , at the right place at the right time , slotted home the third goal for Chelsea.
Danlad has come under fire following the game but Gazale has offered his full backing and support to the goalkeeper.
“Well I will give him 50 out of 50 because there were some situations he was able to save us. Unfortunately we cannot use just one mistake to judge him.” , Gazale said after the 3-0 defeat at Berekum Chelsea on Friday April 14th.
“He has done well , like I said the goalkeepers trainers are also watching definitely they will work on him and then we get everybody on board.” , the interim head trainer of Kotoko added.
The Kotoko caretaker head coach continued :
“And I think our players we have to go back to the drawing board and work hard in order to correct these particular mistakes. We have been considering goals through our defensive line and I think there is the need for us to correct it.
We have done a lot about that but unfortunately it keeps on repeating. So we need to go back to the drawing board and then work on that particular incidents.”
