TRANSFERS : Barcelona are planning to sell Ivorian midfielder Frack Kessie in order to bring Lionel Messi and Gundogan next summer !

Franck Kessie Could Leave Barcelona This Summer : The Ivorian midfielder Yannick Franck Kessie could be sacrificed if the arrivals of Ilkay Gundogan and Lionel Messi are confirmed.

The sale of the former AC Milan man would generate income and help Barcelona to balance their financial books.

No one at the club is capable of guaranteeing that Franck Kessié will continue in the Barca squad next season.

The Ivorian, despite having a contract until 2026 and having the full confidence of the coaches, could end up being one of the traumatic departures that, for a long time, has been leaking from Barcelona as necessary to balance the sheets and allow the arrival of new reinforcements.

As according to AS ,  the signing of Ilkay Gundogan could be decisive in placing the Ivorian out of Barcelona and even more so if the arrival of the City midfielder is accompanied by that of Leo Messi.

In this case, Kessié does not directly have a place in the squad.

It should not be forgotten that the ex Milan player arrived last summer as a free agent , so any income would have a positive impact on the entity’s coffers and would greatly favor the time to lighten the financial ‘fair play’.

In addition, the good form of Kessié since his arrival in Spain means Barcelona can get between 25 and 30 million Euros for the African.

In any case, it would be a more institutional decision than a sporting one, since Xavi is more than satisfied with the Kessie’s performance.

And it is that, despite not being a regular starter, Kessié has managed to find a place for himself in the squad and be a highly respected and loved player among his teammates.

Right now Kessié’s future is completely open, no matter how much the player assures that he wants to stay here. The Ivorian is one of the few players that the club can make cash and generate income from their sales  -the other is Ansu Fati.

So an exit this summer cannot be ruled out.
