Premier League : Jordan Ayew , Schlupp help Crystal Palace to impose a 20th league defeat against Kamaldeen Sulemana’s Southampton

Crystal Palace Defeat Southampton on The Road : Crystal Palace added onto the problems of Southampton FC in the Premier League this season by defeating them at the St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The in-form English midfielder Eberechi Eze netted a brace to condemn the team of Kamaldeen Sulemana and Mohammed Salisu to a 20th league defeat of the season.

Ghana duo , attacker Jordan Ayew and midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp , started the match for Roy Hodgson’s side and helped Palace to clinch their 9th win of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

The former Marseille attacker who netted twice against Leeds United in the 5-1 victory of his team on April 9th was once again involved in the opening goal against Southampton today.

The Black Stars striker intended a pass to Eze in the 54th minute which was intercepted by Gavin Bazunu of home team before Eberechi Eze fired home the rebound to make it 1-0 for Palace. Eze then made it 2-0 in the 68th minute.

Kamaldeen Sulemana started the game for the home side but Salisu remained injured.

Southampton are still bottom of the Premier League table with 23 points from 31 games played.
