Chelsea 1 Brighton and Holve Albion 2 : Ghana’s Tariq Lamptey misses 7th successive club match through injury

Tariq Lamptey Misses 7th Consecutive Club Match Through Injury : Tariq Lamptey remained injured and sidelined at Brighton and Holve Albion as he was not part of the Brighton squad that defeated Chelsea FC at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Roberto De Zerbi and his side recorded another big result on the road to defeat Frank Lampard’s Chelsea in their Week 31 league match.

Conor Gallagher scored first for the home team in the 13th minute but former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck who could have played for Ghana Black Stars in the past netted the equalizer in the 42nd minute for Brighton.

In the second half Julio Enciso scored in the 70th minute to put the away team ahead and that was how the game would end.

Lamptey was invited by Chris Hughton to contest the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification games against Angola on March 23rd and March 27th but the wing-back pulled out of the Ghana squad due to an injury and he has since not featured in any game for his club.

It is the seventh match in a row now that Tariq Lamptey has missed with his last appearance for his team dating back to March 4th in the 4-0 win of Brighton against West Ham United.

Brighton are 7th on the Premier League standings with 49 points in 29 games.
