Kylian Mbappe Wants to Play Alongside Kolo Muani at PSG : Kylian Mbappe is reportedly in secret talks with France national teammate Randal Kolo Muani of Frankfurt trying to convince the latter to make the big move to Paris – Saint Germain (PSG) next season.
A hot cake. It is clear the Bundesliga side would not stop the 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist from leaving but Frankfurt will only allow the talented attacker to go for anything not less than 100 million Euros.
Kolo Muani have scored 20 goals and made 14 assists this season in 40 matches across all competitions and there are definitely many big clubs out there interested in signing the 24-year old who has a contract till 2027 with his German club.
PSG are one of the most likely destinations for the Nantes academy product and it is understood Kylian Mbappe is in secret talks with the player trying to convince him to come to Paris.
In fact both Mbappe and Kolo Muani are from the Bondy and the duo are known to be close friends since they share the same birthplace and only 15 days separate the two prodigies.
The Frankfurt striker was born on 5th December 1998 whereas the PSG star attraction , scorer of a hat trick in the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina , was born on December 20th , 1998.
Kolo Muani’s playing style has drawn comparisons to the legendary French striker Thierry Henry. Like Henry, Kolo Muani began his career as a wide player known for his pace and trickery, but eventually transitioned into a center-forward position.
Both players have a similar height of around 6’2″ and possess rangy physiques. Kolo Muani’s languid dribbling style and impressive speed are also reminiscent of Henry’s style of play, particularly during his younger days.
He has a remarkable strength on the ball and a playful approach to the game that can leave defenders trailing behind him.
France national team coach, Didier Deschamps, acknowledged Kolo Muani’s many qualities, describing him as a player who has a significant presence, runs in behind from deep, and has a good finishing ability.
Frankfurt’s head coach, Oliver Glasner, praised Kolo Muani’s speed, tackling, dribbling, and finishing skills, noting that he is an asset to the team.
Markus Krösche, Eintracht Frankfurt’s board member for sport, expressed his excitement for Kolo Muani’s potential, stating that his speed, robustness, finishing skills, and tactical versatility are qualities that the team needs.
He further noted that Kolo Muani’s potential had attracted the interest of many clubs, and the team is delighted that he has chosen to take his next steps with them.
It is interesting to note that both Muani and Mbappe could have represented African nations if they had wished. The former is of Congolese descent whilst Mbappe is of Cameroonian origin through his father.
Meanwhile other strikers linked to PSG are Harry Kane and Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen of Napoli.
