Medeama Are Temporarily Leading the GPL : Medeama SC are currently leading the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League standings as the Yellow and Mauves currently lead Hearts of Oak by 3-1 at the Accra sports stadium.
Talented footballer Derrick Fordjour struck in the 17th minute to put Medeama ahead but Salifu Ibrahim equalized for the Phobians in the 31st.
Vicent Atingah , skipper of his side , then converted a penalty in the 34th minute to restore the lead for his team before in-form striker Jonathan Sowah netted in the 42nd to make it 3-1 for Augustine Evans Adotey’s men.
This means Medeama , winner of the 2013 and 2015 MTN FA Cups , have displaced Aduana FC from the top position of the league log.
The Yellow and Mauves are currently on 53 points but this could change if they fail to win at full time against Hearts of Oak.
Aduana FC drop to second with their 52 points collected from 31 games whilst Bechem United are now third with 51 points.
