Vincent Atingah Is Contenders for MVP of the GPL Season : Vincent Atingah is on the brink of leading Medeama SC to their first ever Ghana Premier League title as the Yellow and Mauves are on top of the league standings after Week 32.
The Tarkwa-based side have collected 53 points in 31 matches and they contest their 32nd match of the season at home against King Faisal FC on Friday afternoon.
The importance of the former Ebusua Dwarfs and Hearts of Oak center-back to the Medeama cannot be underestimated.
Out of the 39 goals his team has scored in the current league campaign , Atingah has scored eleven times making him the top scoring defender of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League.
The lanky defender is also the top scorer of his team this term as he did last season with 7 goals. Even though most of his goals have come from the spot , the most important thing is that he hardly misses from the spot.
The goals have definitely added more value to the player aside his leadership role in the Medeama set up and we think he is a serious contender for the Most Valuable Player of the season award especially if Augustine Evans Adotey and his charges are able to clinch the title.
