Maxwell Asabre has lambasted Alhaji Akanbi for his harsh words against Hearts of Oak supporters !

Maxwell Asabre Lambasts Alhaji Akanbi : Former General Secretary of Accra Hearts of Oak National Chapters Committee , Maxwell Nana Yaw Asabre , has lambasted Hearts of Oak board member Alhaji Brimah Akanbi over the reaction of the latter following a 5-1 league defeat against Medeama SC. 

The long-serving Hearts of Oak director hit back at some supporters of the club following the 5-1 home defeat against the Yellow and Mauves at the Accra Sports Stadium on May 21st.

Akanbi has come under strong criticism for his harsh reaction and Asabre cannot hide his disappointment.

“I have never witnessed a board member of Accra Hearts of Oak , a dignified board member of Hearts of Oak go that low. I have followed the club for a very long time and never have I witnessed a board member of the club make such shameful comments.” , Nana Asare told Kumasi-based Fox FM.

Maxwell Asare continued :

“I have listened to the Akanbi audio following the 5-1 home defeat against Medeama and I was very disappointed. It is so undignified and so so bad. If you are a leader of Hearts of Oak , you must make statements of wisdom and knowledge.

I have seen many Hearts of Oak leaders and none of them ever made such disgraceful and shameful comments like Akanbi did in the audio. For him to utter those words that I cannot repeat is not dignified. Using words such as rubbish , nonsense and useless people. How can you use these words against Hearts of Oak supporters.

Me personally I have decided not to talk about issues involving Alhaji Akanbi again. He once insulted heavily me on one Hearts of Oak platform. He dared me to face him to physically and spiritually and that I would see what will happen to me.

So since that time I decided not to talk about Hearts of Oak issues involving him.

There was a time he said even if all Hearts of Oak supporters are sold , it will not be enough to pay off the money invested into the club by Togbe Afede. Look at this statement that he made.

It was so so shameful and most unfortunate and upon all these , you will get some Hearts of Oak supporters who will support him for what he said. ” , Asare added.
