Fan Invade Pitch to Attack a Player in France Ligue 2 Match : The league match of the 38th day of the 2022/23 Ligue 2 between Bordeaux and Rodez on Frida was definitively stopped shortly after the twentieth minute of play.
Subsequently the match was finally suspended by the referee in charge.
While Lucas Buades had just opened the scoring for the visitors and celebrated his goal in front of the corner of the Ultramarines, a spectator came down from the stands and managed to go to the field in order to jostle the Rodez player.
The latter remained on the ground for many minutes, before being evacuated by the emergency medical service.
The referee decided to send the 22 players back to the locker room, considering that their safety was threatened.
After long minutes of waiting, it was decided that the match would not resume, as announced by the referee, Nicolas Rainville, at a press conference.
In the coming days, the LFP Disciplinary Committee will decide on the outcome of this game. Given the seriousness of the events observed, a defeat of Aquitaine on carpet cannot be ruled out.
Remember that this match was of crucial importance both on the side of the FCGB, which was aiming for the rise, and that of the RAF, engaged in the fight to maintain.
