African Players with Most CL Goals This Season : The Round of 16 of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League has been completed as Real Madrid , Napoli , Bayern Munich , Chelsea , Manchester City , Inter Milan , Benfica and AC Milan advance to the Last Eight.

Whilst Erling Haaland leads the top scorers chart of this season’s competition , we take a look at the African players who have found the back of the net the most times in Europe’s biggest club competition.

Mohammed Salah (Egypt and Liverpool) – 8 goals and 2 assists in 624 minutes played in 8 games

Mohammed Kudus (Ghana and FC Ajax) – 4 goals and 2 assists in 451 minutes played in 6 games

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (Cameroon and Bayern Munich) – 4 goals and 0 assists in 370 minutes in 6 games

Victor Osimhen (Nigeria and Napoli) – 4 goals and 0 assists in 333 minutes played in 5 games

Riyad Mahrez (Algeria and Manchester City) – 3 goals and 2 assists in 496 minutes played in 8 games.

Meanwhile Osimhen , Mahrez and Choupo-Moting have the chance the add to their tally as their teams remain in the competition as Kudus and Salah have their clubs eliminated.
