Al-Hilal Defeat Coton Sport Again

Al-Hilal Defeat Coton Sport Again : Al-Hilal Omdurman defeated Coton Sport by 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon during match-day four of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League thanks to goals from David Abagna Sandan and Glody Makabi Lilepo.

The Ghana midfielder struck in the 42nd minute to put Al-Hilal ahead at the Al Hilal Stadium before Congolese attacker Makabi Lilepo made it 2-0 eight minutes from time.

The opening goal was the first for the former Real Tamale United for the Sudanese giants after joining them in January this year.

Also former Asante Kotoko left-back Ibrahim Imoro started the match for Al-Hilal and lasted the full duration of the encounter.

Meanwhile Lilepo’s effort means he is now the outright leading goal scorer of this season’s Champions League on 4 goals in as many matches.

Al-Hilal go top of Group B standings with 9 points in 4 matches ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns who have 7 points but do not play until March 11th when they welcome Al Ahly in Pretoria for their fourth group match.
