“The media has been really negative , it’s unfair on Qatar” – PSG Qatari President Al-Khelaifi hits out

Al Khelaifi : PSG President Nasser Al – Khelaifi believes the reportage around the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 by the global media has been mainly negative which he says is “unfair”.

‘The world has been so unfair on Qatar. If people come and see what Qatar is, what Qatari people are like, what we do in our country, of course we are not perfect, but we’re doing our best.” the PSG boss said to TalkSport.

‘We are good people. We treat people with our hearts. The media has been really negative, and it’s not fair it all.’

Qatar lost by 2-0 to Ecuador on Sunday evening in the opening match of the World Cup. Before the match there were various media reports that indicated the South Americans have been bribed by the Qatari officials to lose the game – however it turned out to be false.

Another source of controversy at this year’s World Cup has come from the fact that England and eight other European countries have to abandon their planned usage of the OneLove captain’s armband after FIFA threatened sanctions against players who decide to wear the armband.
