Andy Yiadom : Captain Andy Yiadom is keen to move on from a disappointing afternoon on Teesside…in the only way possible – with a result this evening.
The Royals face another extremely tough challenge on home turf this evening when second-placed Sheffield United arrive in RG2 to take on Paul Ince’s men – but the skipper is looking for a result to help his team bounce back from defeat at the Riverside on Saturday!
“When we are at home, we always put a shift in and we have been getting some good results all season,” he said.
“Saturday wasn’t acceptable – it wasn’t good enough. We conceded five goals at the weekend and across the pitch, in every department, that’s not good enough.
“Myself included, a few of their goals came from my side of the pitch, so I hold my hands up personally. And we can’t have any excuses.
“The good thing about the Championship is that there is always a game around the corner. And tonight, we need to get it right.
“We can’t moan. As a team, as a squad, we’ve got to move on from the weekend. And tonight is important. We need to go and try to pick up a result.”
