Bechem United Defeat Gold Stars in Bechem : Bechem United labored to defeat Bibiani Gold Stars in their Week 20 encounter of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League as Hafiz Wontah Konkoni netted his ninth goal of the season.
The visitors made life difficult for the their hosts at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park but Emmanuel Owusu provided Kasim Mingle’s side with the breakthrough in the 66th minute before Wontah Konkoni made it 2-0 four minutes later.
Konkoni is now just a goal behind leading top scorer of the Ghana league Mezack Afriyie who has 10 goals for Berekum Chelsea. Afriyie missed Chelsea’s trip to Medeama this weekend and could have the opportunity to add up to his tally.
Bechem lost at Asante Kotoko in mid-week but they have reacted rapidly to collect their 33rd point of the season in 20 games.
