Black Stars 2014 WC

Black Stars 2014 WC  : The 2014 FIFA World Cup was the last time the Black Stars participated at the world’s biggest soccer tournament. 

Ghana earned global respect after reaching the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and therefore four years later the enthusiasm around the Black Stars ahead of the Brazil tournament was great.

However , the 2014 World Cup turned into a fiasco for the Black Stars.

But what is the current state of each of the 24 players head coach James Kwasi Appiah took to Brazil?

1.GK Fatau Dauda – retired. Currently pursuing coaching courses.

2. GK. Adam Larsen Kwarasey – Has reportedly retired.

3.GK. Stephen Adams. The former Aduana Stars number is unattached. It is not clear whether he has retired or not.

4.DF. Samuel Inkoom – Currently a player of Hearts of Oak.

5.DF. Daniel Opare – Currently a player at Seraing , Belgium.

6.CF. Asamoah Gyan – unattached.

7.MF. Michael Essien – Has retired.

8.Afriyie Acquah – unattached.

9.Christian Atsu – A player of Hatyaspor , Turkey.

10.Emmanuel Agyemang Badu – A player of Great Olympics , Ghana.

11.Kevin Prince-Boateng – A player of Hertha Berlin , Germany.

12.Andre Ayew – Currently a player of Al -Sadd and the current captain of the Black Stars.

13.Sulley Muntari – unattached. Played for Hearts of Oak in the 2021/22 season.

14.Jordan Ayew – Crystal Palace , England.

17.Mohammed Rabiu – Wihtout club at the moment.

18.Abdul Majeed Waris – Anorthosis Famagusta FC , Cyprus.

19.Jonathan Mensah – Columbus Crew , USA.

20. Kwadwo Asamoah – Has retired.

21.John Boye – Without club.

22.Mubarak Wakaso – K.A.S. Eupen , Belgium.

23.Harrison Afful – Charlotte , USA.
