For the first time this season in the Ghana Premier League , Bofoakwa Tano failed to win at home after Gold Stars picked their first away point of the season at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Saturday.
After the game which ended 0-0 , Bofoakwa Tano head coach Frimpong Manso described the performance of his team.
“I think we did well. For me looking at where we are coming from and the kind of opposition we have been meeting I think we played well , we played well.”
“Because Bibiani they are a very strong team , they have a very experienced midfield and at any point time you could see they posed a threat so for me a draw is better than getting nothing. So for me it is okay , one point.”
“It’s unfortunate we couldn’t take that chance because we thought it was a game the first five minutes we could have scored and in then in the dying minutes of the game that chance maybe if we have taken it , it could have also changed the game but it is football , it happens all the time. So for me I think is okay”
The former Asante Kotoko boss was quizzed whether Michael Osei’s side are the strongest side his team has come up against so far this season , this is how he replied :
“Yes at home I think this is the strongest opposition we have met at home.” , he concluded after the match.
Bofoakwa Tano are now on 9 points after 5 games played and they still lead the league standings.
