Cameroon 2022 WC Squad : Five times African champions Cameroon have released their final 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

By : Samuel Akwasi Yeboah

The squad of the Indomitable Lions contains several names that followers of European football will be familiar with, including Andre Onana, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Brentford’s France-born Bryan Mbeumo who recently switched his nationality has been included in the final squad ahead of the tournament.

Cameroon have been drawn in group G at the World Cup and will face Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland. They have played at the tournament more than any other African side, competing seven times since their debut in 1982.

This World Cup will be Cameroon’s eighth such competition and marks a return to the global stage after missing out on a place in Russia four years ago.

Having finished first ahead of Ivory Coast during the qualifiers, they went on to beat Algeria to book place for the tournament in Qatar.
