Dominic Amponsah Runs The Show against Dreams FC : Accra Lions teenage Dominic Amponsah produced one of the best individual performances of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League as Lions defeated Dreams FC in a five-goal thriller on Monday.
February 2023 Player of the month Abass Samlifu Samari scored from the spot in the 19th minute to put Lions ahead for his 9th goal of the league campaign but Eric Danso Boateng equalized for Dreams with a clever header at the stroke of half time as the first half ended 1-1.
In the second half , Abass was once again got involved in the second goal of the home team scored by the talented Dominic Amponsah in the 60th minute.
The former was fouled and earned a freekick in the Dreams FC half , Amponsah stood behind the ball to fiercely blast it into the net of goalkeeper Augustine Koomson who should have done better.
The away team got a free-kick on the edge of the Accra Lions box as Dominic Amponsah handled the ball. Ebenezer Adade netted with a beautiful curled effort to make it 2-2 in the 73rd minute.
Just a minute later , Amponsah had the last laugh of the night as he beat Koomson again with a terrific long range effort to register his 4th league goal of the 2022/23 season.
Accra Lions held on to win 3-2 and they are now on 37 points at the 2nd place on the league standings ; just two points adrift leaders Aduana FC.
Amponsah was voted man of the match following his top display.
