Ghana eliminate Mozambique : The Black Meteors of Ghana defeatrd Mozambique U23 National team by 2-0 at the Babayara sports stadium to advance to the final round of the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications series.
The goals were scored by Sylvester Simba in the 46th minute and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh in the 54th minute via the spot giving the Black Meteors a 4-1 aggregate victory.
Ghana now meet the winner of the Algeria – DR. Congo Second Round tie.
The Congolese won the first leg by 4-1 at home on September 23rd and the second leg takes place on Sunday night in Setif.
The second leg was originally slated for Saturday but the Congolese contingent encountered an unexpected flight failure as their plane returned to Kinshasa few hours after taking off.
