Ghana international winger Osman Bukari scored a brilliant goal against Manchester City on Tuesday night as Red Star Belgrade lost by 3-1 at the Etihad stadium.
The match was the opening game of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League and the Ghanaian did not disappoint.
Mirko Ivanic released Bukari with a clever through pass in the 45th minute and the former made no mistakes against Ederson as he superbly put the ball at the back of the net. His effort was initially ruled out for offside but after a VAR intervention , the effort was given.
City did not despair as they equalized at the start of the second half through Julian Alvarez in the 47th minute. Alvarez put the team of Pep Guardiola ahead in the 60th before Rodri sealed the comeback win in the 73rd minute.
“Unfortunately, not the results we wanted but we will come back stronger! Thank y’all for the support” , he wrote on Twitter on Tuesday night.
