Giroud overtakes Henry : AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud is now joint all-time leading goal scorer for the French national team after netting a brace against Australia on Tuesday night at the Al Janoub stadium in Al Wakrah.
The former Chelsea attacker scored in the 32nd and 71st minutes as France lead Austrlia by 4-1 in their first match of Group D of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The goals represent his 50th and 51st goals equalling Thiery Henry who netted 51 times for France between 1997 and 2010.
