Kalidou Koulibaly : Senegal center-back Kalidou Koulibaly is one of the pillars of the current generation of the Senegal national team of Aliou Cissé.

In the columns of the Oh My Goal media, the captain of the African Champions looked back at his very first national team selection in September 2015.

“I had told Aliou Cissé that I would come in September; I had given him my word. And that’s what I did. I arrive in the national team selection, I played as a starter and I played two good games. I was super happy and I started to know everyone” the Chelsea defender said.

“I was really at home and it gave me a breath of fresh air. I return to the club and there is a Europa League match and the coach decides to play those who did not have a lot of playing time, including me. We won 5-0 and I told myself that we did our job so we will go back to the bench.

Three days later, I was still starting against Lazio and we still win 5-0. And then I thought there was something to do. The selection allowed me to regain my self-confidence”, detailed Kalidou Koulibaly Oh My Goal.
