Kasim Mingle On Penalty for His Team against Kotoko : Nations FC head coach Kasim Mingle has not doubt about the legitimacy of the penalty awarded his team by referee Abdul Latif Qadir as the Ashanti derby ended in a four-goal thriller on Sunday.
Asante Kotoko fans thought their team had almost secured an important comeback victory against their new regional rivals but an injury time penalty in favour of the home team changed the scoreline as the game ended 2-2 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei sports complex.
“It was an obvious penalty , a clear penalty. Immediately it happened I started shouting penalty , we had two here in the first half , this is obvious , so if you go and watch you will see ” , the former Bechem United boss Kasim Mingle stated after the game.
Ivorian playmaker Amidou Diarra converted the spot kick in the 90+14 minute as he sent goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad the wrong way.
