Kotoko Coach Ogum Hails Kwame Poku: Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Ogum has lauded the performance of forward Kwame Opoku following his seamless return to the club.

Opoku, who recently rejoined the Porcupine Warriors, has wasted no time in announcing his presence, scoring two goals in his first two matches back in the famous red jersey.

Speaking after the team’s latest fixture, Ogum expressed his pride in the striker’s quick adaptation and contributions. “I’m proud of him. He’s been able to adapt quickly, and he is getting us the goals—that is the reason we brought him in,” the coach stated.

Opoku, known for his clinical finishing and tireless work rate, previously made a significant impact during his first stint with Kotoko before embarking on a stint abroad. His return has injected new energy into the team’s attack, providing a reliable focal point in the final third.

The 24-year-old’s goals have not only boosted Kotoko’s chances in their recent matches but have also reignited the confidence of the club’s supporters, who have high hopes for the season ahead.

Opoku’s resurgence comes at a time when Kotoko is aiming to reclaim its dominance in the Ghana Premier League and perform well on the continental stage. His immediate impact suggests that he could be instrumental in helping the team achieve these ambitions.

With two goals in as many games, Opoku has set the tone for what promises to be an exciting chapter in his Kotoko career. As the season progresses, fans will be eager to see if the forward can maintain his momentum and guide the Porcupine Warriors to glory.
