Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare: Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare has been predicted to leave the Porcupine Warriors if his situation does not improve with Mohammed Camara as Kotoko’s first choice across the league and FA Cup.

The former Accra Lions number one, who signed for Kotoko in August 2022, agreed a three-year contract extension back in October last year, HAS been limited to just six league appearances this term.

Camara Mohammed started the first two league games of the season in the 1-0 win against Karela United and the 0-0 draw versus Young Apostles. Asare played the next six matches, keeping 3 clean sheets and conceding 4 goals before Ogum reinstalled the Guinean as starting keeper.

”He is obviously not happy. I mean from number one of the team and his consistent Black Stars call ups to the bench at the moment, who will be happy with such a situation?”, a source told Ghanasportsmarket.com exclusively.

”I think he is an ambitious player and if he keeps on sitting on the bench, I am sure he may consider leaving in order to play more. That is something I see can happen if the situation remains as it is.”, the source added.

Camara, who came under pressure following a series of blunders, has started 8 matches in all events this season, providing 4 shoutouts and shipping 5 goals as Kotoko find stability in their last two, picking up huge victories against Aduana FC and Hearts of Oak.
