Kudus to Europa League : Ajax booked their Europa League place after failing to qualify from their UEFA Champions League group stage.
Ajax defeated Rangers by 3-1in Glasgow with Mohammed Kudus scoring and assisting in the same match. The Ghanaian provided the assist for Steven Berghuis to open the scoring in the 4th minute before Kudus turned scorer himself in the 29th.
Ranger thus ended this season’s Champions League with the worst ever group stage record having lost all six group stage matches. They conceded 22 goals and scored just twice.
The Black Stars playmaker – one of the young players expected to star at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar – was voted man of the match after producing another fine performance on Tuesday night.
Kudus has now scored 10 goals and provided 2 assists in 18 matches played this season for Ajax.
