On 7th November 2020 over 50 retired Ghanaian footballers attended the funeral of legendary Kwasi Owusu in Sunyani

Kwasi Owusu Funeral : On 7th November 2020 the funeral of the legendary Ghanaian footballer Kwasi Owusu took place in Sunyani and over 40 retired footballers attended the ceremony. 

The legendary striker passed away on March 30th , 2020 during the beginning of Covid-19. The funeral rites did not take place until November 7th.

Monday 7th November 2022 was thus the second anniversary of the funeral of great African goal scorer Kwasi Owusu.

Below are recorded names of over 50 Ghanaian footballers who came to the Victoria Park in Sunyani to pay their last respect to their former colleague.
