Etouga Mbella News Update : The head coach of Asante Kotoko Seydou Zerbo provided latest update about lethal striker Thiery Franck Etouga Mbella during Friday’s press conference in Kumasi.

The Cameroonian scored 21 goals in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League to finish as club top scorer in just his maiden season at the club.

Mbella missed Kotoko’s pre-season in Sudan due to lack of fitness and the prolific attacker went ahead to miss the RC Kadiogo CAF Champions League first leg game in Benin last Monday.

As the future of Mbella in Kumasi remains unclear , Seydou Zerbo provided a sort of worrying update about the second top scorer of the Ghana Premier League of last season.

“Asante Kotoko is a big club and if Mbella isn’t around that doesn’t mean the club won’t be there.” Zerbo told the media on Friday morning.

“I heard he’s is an important player but I didn’t work with him but I believe those who won in Benin can equally step up for the club.” the Burkina Faso tactician added.
