Medeama beat Legon Cities : At the El wak Sports stadium coach Maxwell Konadu and his boys welcomed Medeama Sporting Club but it was the latter that carried the day.
After an excellent end to last season by Legon Cities they were looking forward to continue that form against the Yellow and Mauves but the visitors were slightly better then their hosts.
The first half of the game ended goalless. Nine minutes after the hour mark young talented defender Kofi Asmah headed into the bottom corner of the Cities net to put Medeama 1-0 up.
The game progressed as Legon Cities pushed for an equalizer whilst Medeama did not sit back. The team managed by David Duncan were also looking forward to add consolidate their lead by adding another goal but the game ended 1-0 in favour of the two-times FA Cup winners.
Medeama Sporting Club are currently 3rd on the league log with three points whilst Legon Cities are 14th without a point after Matchday 1.
