“I am very sad. We should have won the game” – Nations FC head coach Kasim Mingle reacts after 2-2 draw against Asante Kotoko

Nations FC Head Coach Kasim Mingle Reacts to 2-2 Kotoko Draw :  The Ashanti derby between Nations FC and Asante Kotoko ended in a four-goal thriller at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday October 22nd during Week Six of the Ghana Premier League as Kotoko supporters broke stadium seats and threw them onto the pitch to protest against a penalty decision against their team in injury time.

Nations FC went ahead first in the 50th minute through Henry Ansu own goal but Steven Mukwala Dese and Michael Kyei Dwamena scored two quick-fire goals to equalize and put Kotoko ahead in the 88th and 92nd minutes respectively

After the game , the head coach of Nations FC , Kasim Mingle Ocansey reacted.

“I am very sad. We should have won the game hands down. Our boys lost concentration and they punished us with that.” , Kasim Ocansey Mingle said after the game.

“I told my them (his players) we are playing better than and we are creating all the chances so they push more forward and we can equalize and add another one to it. If such incident had not happened , we would have equalized and add another one to it. It was unfortunate you saw the goal that they scored , the second goal , the linesman waved and he brought the flag down again. Immediately he waved the boys relaxed and they kicked the ball into the net but it is football so we will take it , we will go and work for our next match  ”

“I am not surprised at all , the training they have been going through , is a small thing , they have been doing better than what they did today. As you said inexperience , as time goes on they will be maturing.”

“It was an obvious penalty , a clear penalty. Immediately it happened I started shouting penalty , we had two here in the first half , this is obvious , so if you go and watch you will see ”

“We are all in Kumasi , we are brothers, so after the game forget about everything  , let’s corporate with each other and move on “.
