Vincent Atingah : Medeama defender wins 2022/23 Ghana Premier League Best Player of the season award !

Vincent Atingah Addae has announced his departure from Medeama, ending his two-and-half year stay at the club during which he secured two trophies and personal accolades to cement his place in the team’s history.

Atingah, 29, joined the Mauve and Yellows in March 2021 on a free transfer from Kuwaiti side Al Shabab.

The centre-back enjoyed a blistering career in Tarkwa, scoring 21 goals across two seasons to make him the highest scoring defender in the Ghana Premier League.

He bid farewell to the coaches and his teammates after Monday’s recovery session.

“It’s got to a point in a man’s career that you’ve got to move on. I leave Medeama with great memories and the club will remain in my hearts,” he told medeamasc.org

“It has been an exciting time in Tarkwa and we take delight in winning the Premier League for the first time in the club’s history.

“To be part of such a monumental feat is great. I wish the club well in the years ahead. Tarkwa will always remain home.

“I want to thank the Club President and his wife, the board, management, colleagues and coaches as well as our fantastic fans for the support and encouragement over the period.”

Atingah clinched the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League title as well as the Super Cup.

He was also crowned the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League Player of the Season.

Atingah leaves Medeama with the deepest respect and warmest appreciation of everyone associated with the club.

We are profoundly grateful to Atingah for his immense services to the club and wish him well in his future endeavour.
