Osei Kuffour on Hearts and Kotoko Lack of Quality : Former Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko playmaker Emmanuel Osei Kuffour has expressed his disappointment over their lack of quality players.
The talented footballer was one of the best footballers in the country during his playing days helping Hearts of Oak win the treble in the 2000 season.
The former Ebusua Dwarfs player who played 31 games for the Black Stars between 1996 and 2000 has spoken about the current state of the teams of the two biggest soccer clubs in the country,.
“During our time, all the best players in the country were always joining us, but it’s different now,” Kuffour explained.
“Hearts and Kotoko are not attracting the best of players anymore, and it is a major worry. Their management should sit up and restructure their recruitment plans well.”
The Phobians won the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League and the 2020/21 FA Cup but failed miserably in Africa.
