George Owu has praised Asante Kotoko as a wonderful football club that cares about players’ welfare. He made this statement after revealing, for the first time, that he is still indebted to his former club.
“I still owe Asante Kotoko a loan as we were given money that was to be deducted from our salaries every month before I left for Ashgold. I had not settled my loan by the time of leaving but Kotoko never requested for the loan,” Owu said in an interview with Dan Kwaku Yeboah on YouTube.
Owu joined Ashantigold in 2005 before going on to play for Al-Masry in Egypt.
