Rubén Sellés in Charge : Southampton Football Club have announced the departure of manager Nathan Jones on Sunday. The club adds that Spaniard Rubén Sellés will prepare the team ahead of their Premier League trip at Chelsea FC next weekend.
The Saints who have two Ghanaian internationals on their squad Mohammed Salisu and Kamaldeen Sulemana are rooted at the bottom of the Premier League standings with just 15 points collected in 22 matches.
The club said in a brief statement :
“Southampton Football Club can confirm it has parted company with Men’s First Team Manager Nathan Jones.
First Team Coaches Chris Cohen and Alan Sheehan have also left the club.
First Team Lead Coach Rubén Sellés will take charge of training and prepare the team ahead of next weekend’s game against Chelsea.”
Southampton have lost their last three Premier League games against Aston Villa , Brentford and Wolves.
