Accra Hearts of Oak’s head coach, Martin Koopman, has highlighted the lack of quality strikers in not only his side but in Ghanaian football at large after his team failed to win at home against FC Samartex on Saturday.
The Dutch coach, in his post-match interview revealed that there is a deepp problem with the Black Stars’ striking department:
“Look! There’s a deep problem with Ghanaian football. I will tell you in a short time. The problem is also with the national team, wingers, and strikers. I keep saying, Not only with us, but also with the national team and other clubs.”
The Phobians have only managed to score just one goal since the start of the league, as they failed to win their third consecutive game.
The Dutch trainer notably dropped Congo striker Kashala Ramos Wanet from his starting after openly criticizing the latter saying that Hearts of Oak lack a proper striker after the home draw against Dreams FC two weeks ago.
The Phobians are 12th on the Ghana Premier League standings with five points taken from their first five games and there is an outstanding game to be played against Heart of Lions.
