Charles Taylor Offers Deep Advice to Afriyie Barnieh : Former Accra Hearts of Oak winger Charles Kweku Bismark Taylor Asampong says FC Zurich player Daniel Afriyie Barnieh needs to see a psychologist in order to avoid dropping his level to pathetic standards and this is following the latter’s poor show against Congo during Ghana U23 national men’s team opening match of the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The Black Meteors won 3-2 against the Congolese as they escaped a late comeback attempt with the opposition scoring two goals in two minutes during additional time.
The former Hearts of Oak winger started the encounter as skipper of the side but he was bundled out at the start of the second half and now Taylor has some words of advice for the Switzerland-based footballer.
“He has lost focus on the field. If he doesn’t get a good psychologist to psych him well he could even be worse than what we are seeing.

You cannot just compare his previous performances to now, he could even be worse than Adiyiah,” Taylor told Angel TV.
Taylor continued :
“Adiyiah’s situation is even better. How many matches has Afriyie Barnieh managed to play since he switched to FC Zurich?” , he quizzed.
“Let’s ask ourselves, what happened to him when he got to Zurich. He needs to be advised on focusing on moving forward and stop living on past glories. He is now starting which is why he needs to do more,” he added.
The Ghana Olympic football team take on host nation Morocco on Tuesday for their second Group A match and the game kicks off 20 : 00 GMT.
