Mbappe’s Popularity in France Has Drastically Reduced : According to the results of an Odoxa poll released on Sunday, the image of the star of PSG and the France team, Kylian Mbappé, has deteriorated in recent months.
These are turbulent times for Kylian Mbappé.
Still on vacation, the French striker (24 years old) left Cameroon on Saturday after three days marked by incredible enthusiasm.
If his popularity rating is high in the native country of his father Wilfrid, it is in sharp decline in France. This is revealed by an Odoxa survey carried out for RTL and Winamax. If a very large majority of French people still find him likeable (70%), the Parisian has lost ten points compared to 2019.
In the eyes of public opinion, Kylian Mbappé also appears much less humble than four years ago (45%, -21 points!) and less charismatic (57%, -9 points).
If his popularity rating remains high (63% of French people have a good image of him), the top scorer of Ligue 1 is probably paying for PSG’s lackluster second half of the season and perhaps also his letter to his management which has set fire to the start of the transfer window.
He also did not score points with his strong positions on fields other than football. Thus 65% of French people believe that he is not in his role when he pushes a rant after the death of Nahel, killed by a policeman in Nanterre.
Among French athletes, Teddy Riner remains the most popular (89% favorable opinion), ahead of Tony Parker (87%) and therefore Kylian Mbappé (63%).
