“Medeama can win the CAF Champions League” – 2012 Champions League top scorer declares !

Medeama SC can win the 2023/24 CAF Champions League according to former Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko striker Emmanuel Clottey.

The Yellow and Mauves defied all odds to reach the group stage of the Champions League after eliminating Remo Stars Sports Club of Nigeria and Horoya AC of Guinea.

Clottey , who finished as the top scorer of the 2012 CAF Champions League season on 12 goals , believes the team of Augustine Evans Adotey has what it takes to annex the coveted trophy.

“I can see a special favour behind Medeama. Things seem to be going on well for them and in football you need that. The team is playing very well and I believe they can win the champions league” , Emmanuel Clottey told Fox FM.

“People will mention the likes of Al Ahly and the other the big teams. Yes they are bug teams but what Medeama players have to have in their mind is that the players are not bigger than them. That is the mentality that can take them far” , the former Esperance de Tunis forward added.

Medeama have been put in the same group as Al Ahly , CR Beloizdad and Young Africans.
