Belgium : Paintsil Grabs 6th Assist of the season as Genk win at Ashimeru’s Anderlecht

Joseph Paintsil 6th Assist : Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil registered his sixth assist of the season for KRC Genk in the 2022/23 Jupiler Pro League.

The Ghanaian provided the assist for Mexican Gerardo Arteaga to score Genk’s second goal as the Smurfs won 2-0 at Anderlecht during Week 17 of the Belgian elite league on Sunday.

Joseph has thus been involved in twelve goals this season for his side after 15 matches played.

Six minutes after the hour mark saw two Ghanaian players on the pitch as Majeed Ashimeru came off the bench for Anderlecht in the 66th minute.

Genk lead the standings with 46 points after 17 games.

The Belgian league does not resume until after the 2022 FIFA World Cup has been concluded in Qatar.
