Ayew Reaches 110 Caps : Andre Ayew became the most capped player of Ghana of all time on Thursday after helping the Black Stars defeat Switzerland in a pre-World Cup friendly.
The Black Stars won by 2-0 thanks to goals from Mohammed Salisu (70th minute) and Antoine Semenyo (74th minute) at the Zayed sports complex in Abu Dhabi.
The record of most appearances for the men’s national football team of Ghana was jointly held by Andre and Asamoah Gyan on 109 caps each but the current Ghana skipper is now the outright holder of the record with 110 matches played for Ghana.
The Al- Sadd playmaker was presented with a commemorative jersey by the Ghana Football Association to celebrate his new milestone.
