Henry and Nimley Banter : Head of Communications of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Henry Asante Twum has responded to criticisms by Citi FM’s Christopher Nimley in a heated debate on Twitter.
On February 10th the outspoken Nimley tagged the President of the GFA Kurt Okraku as a failure and wants the former Dreams FC chief quit his role as head of the governing body of soccer in the country.
In his response to Nimley’s criticisms , Henry Asante enumerated a number of achievements chalked by the Kurt Okraku-led GFA.
Kindly be reminded that under the failure Kurt Okraku, Ghana won the WAFU U-20 and the Africa U-20 Nations Cup. The failure Kurt Okraku qualified Ghana to our 1st CHAN in 7yrs. The failure Kurt Okraku qualified Ghana to the World Cup & the U-20 Women’s World Cup. Facts are sacred https://t.co/bdf42hyI4W

However not convinced by Henry’s points , Nimley says he is ready to debate anybody to justify his claims.
Am ready to debate anybody who thinks the failed Kurt's administration has a legacy to be proud off. Your boss fraudulently changed a player name, got our U 17 women banned for 2 editions of fifa WC, and you have no shame but to comment on WAFU U 20, AFCON U 20 AND CHAN DISGRACE.

h
I advice you go to Bibiani, Sameraboi, Tamale, Berekum, Bechem etc to witness what’s going on there. Under the failure Kurt Okraku, the Accra stadium was filled to the brim two seasons ago when Hearts played Kotoko. I wonder who was President then! https://t.co/3dpuIVUJLl

Ghana qualified for the U-20 World Cup in 2020, the tournament was later cancelled because of Covid-19 so what’s your point? After 1999, it took us about 8 years to make an impression at the World Cup in 2007 having exited at the group stage in 2005 and recently in 2015 https://t.co/IqQK1QFM0U
