Seydou Zerbo on Bechem Win : Asante Kotoko head coach Seydou Zerbo says the 1-0 victory of the Porcupine Warriors against Bechem United on Wednesday is a big moral booster to his players and they can face any other side in the Ghana Premier League.
Enock Morrison’s 21st minute strike was all that Kotoko needed to edge out Kasim Mingle’s Bechem United at the Babayara sports stadium during Week 19 of the betPawa Ghana Premier League.
After the defeat at Dreams FC , the draw at Nsoatreman and the FA Cup elimination at Aduana Stars , the defending league champions needed a positive reaction against Bechem United.
The Burkinabe coach was asked if Wednesday’s victory gives his team confidence ahead of the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak on Sunday in Accra.
Zerbo said : “Definitely we played against a very good team , Bechem , and (this) win gives confidence to the players to play against any other team in the Premier League”.
Kotoko are now back to the second position on the league standings with 31 points , five points behind leaders Aduana Stars who dropped home points against King Faisal yesterday.
