OPINION : David Abagna is already making waves at Al-Hilal as he proves his quality in Sudan

Abagna Shines in Sudan : Ghana international midfielder David Abagna Sandan produced a big performance for Al-Hilal Omdurman against Coton Sport in a CAF Champions League match on Tuesday.

The Sudanese side won the match-day four encounter by 2-0 with goals from Abagna and Congolese forward Makabi Lilepo. The Ghanaian netted in the 42nd minute to put his team ahead as he registered his debut goal for the People’s Club.

Al-Hilal head coach Florent Ibenge monitored the former Real Tamale United (RTU) playmaker during the 2023 African Nations Championship in Algeria and asked his bosses to get him Abagna at all cost.

The former Black Galaxies midfielder joined the Sudanese team for reported transfer fee of 150 000 USD after scoring 12 league goals for RTU in the last two seasons.  Always in the starting line-up of Florent Ibenge , Abagna has significantly impressed everyone at the club and the Congolese trainer is not a disappointed man.

Now the bigger challenge for the Ghanaian is not to lower the standards but so far , so good.
