John Paintsil Discloses Christian Atsu Lesson : Former Black Stars player John Paintsil has revealed the positive trait he learned from the life of Christian Atsu despite the fact that he is older than the late Ghana star.
The former Chelsea FC and Ghana winger who was on the roster of Turkey Super Lig side Hatayspor was found dead under the rubble of his residence following the deadly Turkey earthquake of February 6th.
The funeral ceremony of the late soccer star took place on Friday March 17th in Accra and former Ghana international John Paintsil , 41 , has revealed the positive lessons he picked from the life of the 31-year old.
“He was a great person and the lesson I learnt from him is he was a giver. He always put people before him. He has that leadership qualities in him and he has respect for people.” , John Paintsil said on Friday at the forecourt of the State House where the funeral took place.
Paintsil added more :
“He always remembered where he was coming from and knows what the society has given him and he always tries to give back to the society. He was a great person. Though he was a young star when he came to the national team but he came with a big heart. He was small outside but inside he was big.
“I think it is a last respect we are giving to our beloved brother Christian Atsu Twasam. Fun time we had in camp. I remember when the team was preparing for one of the Cup of Nations. Atsu was one of the people who had this self creativity. He can create a movie , tells some story and then come out with the scripts and then give it to people to act and all.”
